Being a private teacher I do my best to create in my scholars a deep understanding as well as confidence when answering exam questions and being capable to handle unfamiliar issues. The base of my theory is the belief that learning happens in an environment of reciprocal appreciation in which the student is supported to think and establish relationships for themselves. My experience has been that one-to-one individual training has a special advantage to learners through the opportunity to resolve the learners' own difficulties to study in a manner that sets the foundations for a thorough and lasting comprehension of the subject.
Analytic thinking
My approach varies depending on the student's learning style and needs. However, my teaching approach is based on inspiring students to think for themselves, employing existing situations everywhere it can be. |To my mind it is extremely important to provide students with a working skills and to develop analytical skill-sets for establishing upon this knowledge. Tutoring a person to think critically is at the base of what exactly a learner should take away from any subject class.
The most important contribution
Coaching students is one of the most enduring increases a teacher are able to do, and it is a technique, that I consider to be interesting and beneficial. From my experience, I found out the importance of engaging children with the help of examples and of pitching data at a level which assumes intelligence but not specifically knowledge, blending the known with the unknown within a mix which gives the learner the disposition of likelihood rather than that one of impossibility that impressive and formal ways can inflict.
How I teach
I start from themes the learners are comfortable with and move regularly towards more challenging sectors seeing that their self-confidence is being built. I use questions and examples to monitor getting constantly. I never lecture to scholars or request them to remember things. Nor do I perform the students' homework for them!
I mainly prioritise exam-style or recent paper questions to review, exercise and improve the scholar's accepting and capacity. I additionally give a lot of importance to a number of the less obvious but necessary abilities as logical thought, essay technique and structure, and the powerful use of graphs and numbers.
